A new introduction for the show that needs no introduction.

Firstly, this isn’t my only Twilight Zone intro. See below for the first iteration.

I love the experience of a good TV intro. The mood. The ability to draw you into a world through sound and image. The promises and expectations set for what awaits in the preceding hour or so.

Using the iconic voice of Rod Serling and original backing audio from the ‘59-64 series, I constructed my own interpretations of the intro as a playful challenge to myself.

My self imposed limitations for this animation were to have the camera constantly shifting backwards, and to make the video monochrome. This forced me to focus on texture, tonal range, smooth movement and transitions.
